Realizing that there aren't many strive for improvement, the above stuck me hard! Does it mean that leaders around us are just pretending?
To me, One can improve only if he has the realization about self-accountability, and courage to take criticism in a positive manner.
There aren't many who can describe things that they should not be doing as leaders!
Continuous improvement is the key challenge for leaders..... only few meet this challenge...... so there are only few leaders, others are just pretending!

This is very true and to-the-point.

And it’s not just for the leaders, it is a universal rule for all human beings, secondly, how can we deny or call pretender to leaders like Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Mahatma Gandhi, Kamal Ataturk, Abraham Linkon etc, who perceived an idea and changed it into an ideology for the nations to follow. Ideologies for which nations fought wars, can we deny all the sacrifices by the great martyrs, who gave lives for the ideology?
We shouldn’t forget that leaders are human and “to err is a human.” So I respectfully disagree with Mr. Liu Shao-Chi
It may be true that there is no such thing as the perfect leader – leaders are human, after all. But, that is not to say that people who hold leadership positions - should not frequently seek to improve their leadership skills.
Remember that good leaders are made not born. If you have the desire and willpower, you can become an effective leader through adopting a never ending process of self-study, education, training, and experience.
To inspire your workers into higher levels of teamwork, there are certain things you must be, know, and, do. These do not come naturally, but are acquired through continual work and study. Good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their leadership skills; they are NOT resting on their success.
I agree but leaders can improve if there is accountability or criticism. The nation who aren't looking for any improvemet or have no will for an improvement then there is no point in having any leader or even pretenders!
