When you Quit Your Job!

I am dead, no career move, my boss is a ……! These are some comments we hear from those who are about to quit their respective jobs.

A number of such people find some sympathetic friends who would advise against quitting. They try to induce the fear factor……. Who is going to pay your rent, cell phone bill, cable…… gasoline…..etc.

Thinks about the key difference between a frustrated quitter and a planned quitter. The first one will remain frustrated and he has learnt to live that way. Whereas the later one already has a dream, a plan for the next move. His energy levels are high.

Boom, he quits and what next? ………. Challenges!

In my recent experience, the planned quitter, despite his tough challenges, quickly finds ways to proceed with his plan, although success may not be that quick. I know three persons that quit their jobs in search of nirvana. One is Zishan Jafri www.totaltravels.pk, 2nd is Ashraf Chaudhry www.ashrafchaudhry.com and the next one is Omair Ali www.twspk.com. They all went through challenging times, but survived and progressed.
Message: Plan ahead and stick to it.

Time Magazine Publishes “Best of Asia 2010”

May 24th – Time Magazine publishes the “Best of Asia 2010”.
(Download http://bit.ly/aLdYYZ)
This is an annual feature that tries to capture the best experiences focusing three key themes “Mind” “Body” and Soul.

Time’s correspondents across Asia submit untold stories for this feature. This year’s features cover, China, India, Japan, Hong Kong China, Cambodia, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Nepal and Singapore.

I was shocked to see Noting from Pakistan, but I guess we are in the media too much anyway……. justifying anymore space in an international magazine was challenging anyway!

Alarming for Pakistan, a large and exciting country……… No coverage in respect to Mind, Body and Soul!

Entrepreneurship is all about Partnerships and Creative Thinking!

Reading about Entrepreneurship, I was touched by quotes from two top Entrepreneurs, I thought to share these with my blog readers:

"Our success has really been based on partnerships from the very beginning."- Bill Gates

"Nobody talks about entrepreneurship as survival, but that's exactly what it is and what nurtures creative thinking. Running that first shop taught me business is not financial science; it's about trading: buying and selling."- Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop
